By supporting AgeOptions, you help us ensure that resources and service options are available to older adults. You also make it possible for us to develop and expand programs in response to the changing needs and expectations of the older members of our communities.

The following AgeOptions activities are among those your donations will support.

Economic Security

Older adults who are struggling financially can receive counseling to assess their needs and be connected to resources. Economic Security Initiative

Caregiver Support and Caring Together, Living Better

Faith-based networks provide volunteer-based support services for African-American caregivers in the south suburbs. Caregiver Support

Options Counseling

We provide person-centered support to assist older adults in making informed long-term support choices. Progress Center for Independent Living, PLOWS Council on Aging and North Shore Senior Center are partners in this program. Services & Programs/Access to Information & Resources

Understanding Health Care Choices

AgeOptions counselors provide neutral information and decision-making support on health care options, including Medicare benefits and programs.
Health Care Information

Elder Abuse, Neglect and Financial Exploitation Prevention

Case managers investigate reports of abuse, neglect and financial exploitation of older adults in order to resolve problems and arrange for appropriate assistance. Elder Abuse, Neglect and Financial Exploitation Intervention and Prevention

Take Charge of Your Health

AgeOptions provides education and services that support healthy living through Take Charge of Your Health, a program in which people with chronic health conditions learn how to thrive and not simply survive. Health Promotion & Disease Prevention

Nutrition

Home delivered meals provide nutritious meals to older adults who are home bound.
