Learn about federal and state benefits for the most financially vulnerable older adults, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) from the Social Security Administration and Aid for the Aged, Blind, Disabled (AABD) Cash from the Illinois Department of Human Services. AABD Cash is a very underutilized and complex benefit that can significantly increase the income of very low income older adults.
