A huge thank you to our presenter, Steven Scheuer, Supervising Attorney, Public Benefits Practice Group at Legal Aid Chicago. Steve’s practice focuses on access to public benefits, including Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, AABD Cash, and Social Security. He represents clients in administrative hearings before the Illinois Department of Human Services and the Social Security Administration. 

Legal Aid Chicago provides free legal assistance in civil cases to people living in Chicago and suburban Cook County and advocates for stronger, more just communities.

During this webinar, Steve reviewed important aspects of the appeals process such as the bases for appeal, how and when to file appeals, and key steps in the process, followed by Q&A.
