Original Medicare vs. Medicare Advantage: Consideration Checklist

Avisery is pleased to announce the release of the Avisery “Original Medicare vs. Medicare Advantage: Consideration Checklist for the Open Enrollment Period.”  Designed for professionals who have not received formal training as Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) counselors, it may however serve as a useful desk aid for more experienced counselors.

This new resource contains :1) a checklist of questions the professional can encourage the beneficiary to consider when making their open enrollment decisions; and 2) an accompanying guide that provides additional background on why these questions should be considered. Individuals seeking more detailed assistance  or who have more complex insurance coverage situations should be referred to the SHIP program ( 800-252-8966) or the Medicare website (medicare.gov) for more expert guidance.
